This week's spotlight is on Abbey Stanley! Abbey Stanley is one of our wonderful instructional assistants at Glen Forest. She works with our 3rd grade students, but it's not uncommon to see her supporting and collaborating with all the different grades. She is always looking for ways to be involved and working with our students! We love having Abbey Stanley with us at Glen Forest ES!

Year’s at Glen Forest ES: This is my fourth year at Glen Forest

Why do you love teaching at Glen Forest? I fell in love with Glen Forest first as a parent of a then 2^nd grader and kindergartner and only later started working here.  I love the diversity of our school’s population.  I love that everyday I learn something new.  I love working alongside people who are always encouraging you to be persistent and persevere. 

Book you are currently reading:  My kids and I are re-reading the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer, right now we are on Eclipse, which is book three.  After we are done with each book we watch the movie 😊

Hobbies/Interests:  Some things I like to do for fun are cooking new recipes, watching movies with my family, planting vegetables in my in laws garden and taking our doggies for walks and to the dog park.
